You, Me & Charlie

Dianna Agron has just created a new website designed toward sharing interesting things and making people happy. This concept is clever- it is yet another way (alongside twitter) that connects a celebrity in a personal manner to everyone else in the world- allowing the public to believe they are accessing an area that is special to that celeb. Whilst in many places this may not be the case, Agron seems to have really opened up her thoughts, feelings and interests to the public. She justifies her position, saying that because of the work she does she is able to hear more stories about people’s lives, and to be inspired by everything around her, therefore she is in a prime place to spread the love.

Above all, it cheers me up because she’s using her position to collect great stories from all over the world. “There’s enough negativity in this world to smother all of us into a state of infinite sadness. Why not counter that? That’s what this site is for. I hope it just does that.”

Her article about Yoko Ono’s ‘25 Things Even My Best Friends Didn’t Know’ was perhaps the most fascinating to me (so far). Have a read of that.

The Hobbit in 3D

As I’m finding myself delve into the world of filmmaking, I become enthused by various things on the internet every day. My latest eye-opening experience was provided by Peter Jackson, in his fourth installment video diary of the making of The Hobbit. The technology used for 3D filming is spectacular, and whether or not I agree with nearly all the big films filming in 3D (a discussion for another time..) this blog really shows me the skilled side of it all. Check it out.

Well hello there.

So I’m starting this blog for the future. There’s not much in the now, but someday this may be interesting, and until then it’ll be a lovely place to collect thoughts and pictures. So for now, welcome.
